The "Smetannik" pie is simple to prepare, but it is unusual and tasty, because this two-layer pie has the most delicate base and very tasty filling. And you need something: flour, butter, eggs, sugar and sour cream. It is advisable to cook it with vanilla, and not with vanilla.
Ingredients for the base of the pie: 150 gr. oil, 60 gr. powdered sugar (do not replace with sugar!), 2 proteins, 220 gr. flour, vanilla pod core.
Ingredients for pouring: 300 gr. sour cream (20%), 3 yolks, 75 gr. sugar, 40 gr. starch (corn, potato need 20 gr.), the core of a vanilla pod.
Preparation:
A shape with a diameter of 23 to 28 cm is required (you can use an oval 20 by 30 cm)
1. Preheat the oven to 200C, then to 170C.
Sprinkle the softened butter with icing sugar. Don't use sugar, it won't dissolve.
2. Add vanilla seeds.
3. Grind with a spoon or mixer until smooth.
4. Add two room temperature proteins.
5. Stir, add flour and knead to a soft dough.
6. Place it in a mold in an even layer. Bake at 200C for 12 minutes.
7. In the meantime, fill it. Whisk the yolks, sugar and vanilla seeds into a thick, white mixture.
8. Add the starch and stir with a mixer at low speed.
9. Put sour cream, stir and pour over hot base.
10. Put the pie in the oven, reduce the temperature to 170C and bake for 40-50 minutes. The finished cake will rise in a small slide. It will settle when it cools down.
11. The pie is tasty and warm, but chilled is just fine!
