Rosenburg castle

Rosenburg Castle is located in Lower Austria in the Horn district on the picturesque rocky bank of the Kamp River, which is the left tributary of the Danube. It is located in the center of the Naturpark Kamptal nature reserve, which gives the architectural structure a special appeal. The nature surrounding Rosenburg is impressive: green lawns, numerous bizarre fountains, pink fragrant gardens, majestic and mighty oak trees - all this creates the unique look of Rosenburg Castle.
Not far from the castle stands a magnificent Baroque masterpiece - the Altenburg monastery, on the north side there are the Geras and Drosendorf monasteries.
The exposition "The World of a Fairy Tale" is open at Rosenburg Castle. There are 26 rooms, an amazing collection of dishes and furniture, majolica, pewter dishes, glass, clocks, hunting weapons, paintings of the 16th-17th centuries, as well as prehistoric finds collected by Baron Ferdinand von Engelshofen himself.
Currently, Rosenburg Castle hosts numerous exhibitions, interesting shows and concerts. An unforgettable experience will surely be left in your memory by the performance "Show with hunting birds", which is regularly held on the territory of the castle. Here you can observe how birds of prey such as kites and falcons are tamed. No less popular is the "Knight's Tournament", which is held here annually. The castle complex with a beautiful rose garden, an inner Renaissance courtyard, a magnificent palace is a fabulous place for any event.
