Illustrator Jill Barklem and her "Blackberry Glade" Jill Barklem was born in Epping, UK in 1951.
After school, she studied at the famous Central College of Art and Design. St Martin's, one of the oldest English-speaking design universities in the world, Jill has worked as an illustrator and author of children's books. She spent five years of research before writing her first stories about mice from the Blackberry Glade Estate.
