Vorontsov Palace is one of the attractions of the South Coast of Crimea. The palace impresses with its luxury and decoration, built in 1828-1848; architect Edvar Blore.
Vorontsov Mikhail Semenovich (1782-1856), a prominent military and statesman, governor-general of the Novorossiysk Territory and Bessarabia. His activities contributed to the development of foreign trade in the south of Russia and the beginning of a shipping company on the Black Sea.
A.S. Pushkin, being in exile in the South, served in the office of Count Vorontsov, but their relationship did not work out, the reason for this was the poet's secret love affair with the wife of Count E.K. Vorontsova
