Ron di Scenza is a contemporary Italian-American artist. Was born in 1954 in America, Ohio. He began to paint at the age of about 3 years. At the age of seven, Ron's parents began to take him with them to Italy for the summer holidays.
Supporting the boy's talent, Ron's mother often took him to Rome and showed the famous frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, created by the famous Michelangelo Buonarroti, in order to strengthen Ron's desire to be an artist.
Much later, having become a famous artist, Ron fondly recalls the time spent in Italy, surrounded by sisters, brothers and the most beautiful landscape.
In 1970, Ron's family moved to Long Island and soon di Scenza entered the Art University of New York, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After completing his studies, he got a job at the school and became the youngest teacher in secondary schools.
Ron's paintings are bold and precise, he uses linen canvas with a very smooth surface, lighting plays a key role in his work.
He creates a play of light and shadow or finds it in its natural form. The depiction of the capricious candlelight in the paintings of the great Rembrandt had the first and most significant influence on the artist, as did the work of Vermeer, who skillfully depicted a woman sitting in a dark room with bright windows.
Ron di Scenza's paintings can be seen in galleries in the USA, Italy and in many public and private collections around the world. Currently, the artist lives with his family in Italy, where he works fruitfully and improves his skill as an artist.
