In some strange and mysterious way, Van Gogh's name has always been associated with flowers. He himself wrote in a letter to Theo: "The sunflower is mine, in a certain sense." This flower had a special meaning for him: the yellow color represents friendship and hope, while the flower itself seems to be "an idea symbolizing gratitude and gratitude."
