Pino Daeni (Pino Giuseppe Dangelico) is an Italian impressionist painter and book illustrator. Known for his unique style of portraying feminine, romantic women and strong men, he was born in Bari, Italy. Even at school, the teacher noticed the boy's talent and advised his father to somehow encourage his son's artistic endeavors. However, his father was skeptical about this idea, so for a long time Pino Daeni was a self-taught artist. But, having entered the art institute and then the Milan Academy, he honed his skills in drawing from nude for a long time. His works have received prizes and awards many times. On May 25, 2010, the artist died of cancer at the age of 70.
