The Cathedral (Duomo) is the main attraction of Florence. This is the fourth largest church in the world after the Roman St. Peter, St. Paul in London and the Duomo in Milan, and its size and grandeur is such that it does not fit entirely into the camera lens at any angle, even if you lie on the ground. The dome of the cathedral, designed by the famous Italian architect Filippo Brunelleschi, until recently was considered the largest on the planet: its height is 42 meters, its weight is about 40 thousand tons, and the bricks in its structure are more than 4 million!
