Frontenac Castle is a stately grand hotel in the style of a medieval château, visible from miles away and considered one of Quebec's most famous and attractive landmarks. The castle owes its name to Count Frontenac, a French nobleman, governor of New France. The Grand Hotel has seen many famous visitors in its lifetime, including Queen Elizabeth, Princess Grace, Alfred Hitchcock, and Ronald Reagan, as well as Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, who stayed here. at the time of the military conferences of 1943-44. Today, the impressive corridors of the castle can be walked with guides dressed in 19th century costumes and a guide dog.
