The Millennium Falcon was built on Corellia in 60 BBY. Model ships YT-1300 were very popular among smugglers. Lando Calrissian won the Millennium Falcon in 5 BBY in the Sabakku tournament. But he later lost the ship to Han Solo. Khan took the Falcon and began to modify it. He made major changes to the structure of the armor, replaced the turbolasers with faster-firing ones, put in a much more powerful engine, improved sensors and the latest jamming device.
Khan used the ship to transport contraband to criminal bosses (most often Jabbe the Hutt). Due to the large amount of contraband that Solo transported, the Millennium Falcon was wanted by the Empire.
