Trinidad (Spanish Trinidad) is a city in Cuba, near the Caribbean coast. Population: 73 thousand people (2003).
Founded in 1514 by the conquistador Diego Velazquez.
City-museum (houses and churches built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries). Since 1988 it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. For a hundred years this city has been isolated from the rest of the island, so the houses and cobblestone streets are perfectly preserved.
