Cape Kalodendrum or Wild Chestnut or Yangu is one of the most spectacular African trees, found in light forests and shrubs from the Cape region to Ethiopia. During flowering, the tree is abundantly covered with pink flowers. When fruits that look like a chestnut ripen, they burst, small black seeds spill out from which oil is squeezed out.
