From a sleeping rural landscape, step by step, we move along with the characters of the scroll into a waking up business morning.
The morning fog dissipates. Willow bushes, straw huts, peasant lands, and vegetable gardens appear through its veil. But along the way, traders, people of different ranks, carts loaded with goods, in which mules or donkeys are harnessed, are already hurrying to the market.
Closer to the city, shops, inns, warehouses appear. Along the Bianhe River. boats are scurrying about, carrying cargo and passengers. The goods are being unloaded at the pier. Barge haulers pull a large barge upstream. Another ship is preparing to land.
