Feanor (Sind. Fëanor, correct pronunciation - Feanor) is the eldest son of Finwe, High King of the Noldor, and his wife Miriel Serinde. He created the Silmarils and, according to The Silmarillion, was "the greatest in the art of word and hand" and "the greatest of the Eldar in art and lore." He played a fundamental role in the history of the elves, leading the revolt of the Noldor against the Valar, caused by a desire for revenge on Morgoth.
His name (rather, a nickname given to him because of his character traits) is a compromise between the Sindarin Faenor (Sind. Faenor) and the Quenya "Faenaro" (Q. Fëanáro), meaning "spirit of fire." Initially Feanor was called Finwe, or Finvion (Qu. Finwion, "son of Finwe") in honor of his father, and later - Kurufinwe (Qu. Curufinwë, "skillful Finwe"). Feanor married Nerdanel, daughter of Mahtan, who bore him seven sons: Maedhros, Maglor, Kelegorm, Caranthir, Curufin, Amrod and Amras.
Fingon (Sind. Fingon) - an elf from the Noldor, the eldest son of Fingolfin, the elder brother of Turgon, Aredali and Argon. In Quenya, his name sounded like Findekano (sq. Findekáno, "skillful hero").
