Cleveden, sometimes Cliveden, is a neo-Renaissance country palace on a high hill above the Thames in Buckinghamshire, built in the 1850s by Charles Barry (architect of Westminster Palace) for the Duke of Sutherland. The palace, erected on the site of the Baroque residence of the 2nd Duke of Buckingham, is one of the finest examples of eclectic Victorian architecture and is now home to a five-star hotel.
