Coat of arms of Novosibirsk

The shield of the coat of arms has a French quadrangular shape with a pointed base. The lower left and upper right corners are connected by a wavy blue line symbolizing the Ob River. Stylized, in the form of a golden half-ring, the bridge over the Ob is depicted - a structure that became the basis for the emergence and development of Novosibirsk. The left field of the shield is green, the right field is silver: the color of the shield corresponds to the color of the city flag. In the middle of the shield, a horizontal line shows the Trans-Siberian Railway, the left side of which is silver, the right side is black.
The shield holders are two black sables with silver noses, eyes, claws and inner parts of the ears, scarlet (red) tongues. The shield is topped with a golden crown with five three-pointed prongs. At the foot of the shield is a wavy-crossed ribbon, the colors of which correspond to the flag of the city. In the middle at the foot is a scarlet bow on top of two overturned black arrows.
