Loire Valley Castles.
"Lady's Castle". At various times this building was owned by the favorite of the king, Diane de Poitiers, Queen Catherine de Medici and Louise de Vaudemont, Catherine Brisonne, as well as Louise Dupin, the wife of a wealthy landowner. All of them moved in intellectual circles and patronized art, so the castle was often visited by writers, artists, musicians of that time and, of course, left their mark on it. For example, a collection of paintings by Poussin and Rubens appeared here, as well as Flemish tapestries of the 16th century.
