The Vacheron Constantin collection Metiers d'Art series is well known to all watchmakers. Usually, each new release of the collection is an excursion into an unknown history. And for the first time, Metiers d'Art presents models designed exclusively for the fair sex. The theme of the trilogy: botanical illustrations of 19th century England, images for miniatures are taken from the book by Robert John Thornton The Temple of Flora ("Sanctuary of Flora"), published in 1799. Thornton was a follower of Carl Linnaeus and devoted his life to finding and sketching rare plants. Each flower that adorns the dial of the new collection has a sacred meaning.
Strelitzia (model Queen) is a symbol of loyalty and good luck,
lily (model White Lily) - purity and virtue,
limodorum (China Limodoron) expresses richness and delicate taste.
