Bluethroat

The bluethroat is one of our most beautiful songbirds of the thrush family - a relative of the nightingale, the robin, the redstart. Distributed in Northern Europe, North and Central Asia; in Russia - practically throughout the entire territory. Bluethroat is a migratory bird. Winters in North Africa, Asia, South China and India. Favorite nesting places for bluethroats are ditches overgrown with bushes and dense grass with running water, small rivers, field streams, ravines, swamps, etc. Lovers often keep the Bluethroat in a cage. It quickly gets used to captivity and to its owner and, with good care, readily sings during the day, evening and even at night.
