The pheasant belongs to the number of domesticated birds and is a common object of hunting. Males are brightly colored, and females are dull brown, gray-sand, with black-brown spots and dashes. The pheasant lives in forests with undergrowth, or in thickets of bushes. It prefers to predominantly near water, scared, it rarely climbs trees, preferring to hide on the ground in the grass and in the bushes. It is interesting that in the wild, the common pheasant lives in monogamy, in the semi-domesticated state - in polygamy. Builds nests on the ground. Only the female incubates and leads the chicks; males do not take part in breeding chicks. Allocate up to 32 subspecies, or geographical forms, of the common pheasant, differing in color.
