Artist Francois Martin-Kavel was born in France in 1861 into a wealthy family. Almost nothing is known about the artist's life. He regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon, was awarded a medal in 1881, and was in demand during his lifetime. At the same time, being a wealthy person (he received a rich inheritance), Francois Martin-Kavel did not need funds, he wrote, as our contemporaries would say, for the soul.
The paintings by François Martin Kavel are an ode to female beauty. At the same time, in most cases, we do not see a collective gentle and sensual image, but a portrait of a very real woman. Somewhat embellished, but a portrait.
