British Shorthair - British Shorthair
The modern breed of British Shorthair cats began in 1898.
The history of this breed began as early as 2000 years ago, when the ancestors of modern British cats sailed to their new homeland with the Roman conquerors. After arriving on the land of Britain, these cats not only survived, but also perfectly adapted to the new conditions, leading their usual wandering lifestyle. The nomadic wild life helped British cats become large, strong and hardy animals with well-developed muscles and warm, practical hair.
By its appearance, the Briton's fur coat resembles a plush. And the British cats themselves are often called plush.
The British cat does not impose its company on you, but will respond to your affection with gratitude.
This cat is the very epitome of British restraint.
