Eric Wert is an American artist. Was born in 1976 in Portland. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA from Northwestern University. Eric Werth currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon. Eric Werth has long worked as a scientific illustrator, during which time he has learned to show amazing attention to detail.
With his art, Eric intends to revive a tradition that began with the Dutch still life. But sometimes Werth literally turns this tradition upside down. Instead of pure beauty, we begin to see history. Werth believes that his main achievement is that he manages to combine technique with humor and storytelling.
