Unexpected call

William Albartus De Vorss, better known as Billy de Vorss, was born in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1908. He is known as a pin-up and advertising artist. Although William's work is not as realistic, his use of color sets him apart from such artists. Billy worked almost exclusively in the pastel technique, both because of the speed and the effect it gave.
