The Turks and Caicos flag was adopted on November 7, 1968. Similar to the flags of other British colonies and dependent territories. It is a blue (English) stern flag - a blue cloth with the flag of Great Britain in the canopy; shield (corresponding to the coat of arms of the Turks and Caicos Islands) in yellow with images of a shell, lobster and cactus.
