Falkland Islands flag

This flag is the flag of the British Overseas Territory. The coat of arms is a blue shield with the sailboat Desire on the waves of the sea (blue and white wavy lines), on which the English sea captain John Davis discovered the Falkland Islands in 1592.
The motto "Desire the Right" also refers to the name of the ship.
A ram is placed in the upper part of the shield; until recently, sheep breeding was the main economic activity on the islands. The grass on the coat of arms represents the most common vegetation on the islands.
