British Virgin Islands flag

British colony in the eastern West Indies. State flag and sea flag. Its proportions are 1: 2.
The coat of arms, granted on November 15, 1960, is featured in the center of the British blue navy flag. The central figure is Saint Ursula, the “wise virgin” and namesake of the islands. The eleven lamps represent the eleven virgins who were slain together with Saint Ursula by the Huns.
