Kim Norlien spent his childhood in Menneapolis, Minnesota, with his grandparents, where he fell in love with the natural environment and began painting after high school at the Minneapolis Technical College where he studied arts and crafts.
After graduation, he worked for 8 years in advertising, then as an illustrator for General Mills, Sam Goody, 3M, Carlson Companies and others. He has received several awards and national recognition for his artistic talent and painting technique. His paintings are the world of the surrounding nature and animals.
