Shirley Deaville was born in Toronto. As a teenager, she began to take painting lessons. After her husband Dave lost his job, he decided to try to make a living selling Shirley's paintings. For the sake of the formation of their new family business, Shirley and her English husband moved to England. Shirley began writing country scenes. Since 1979, painting has become her profession. Today, Shirley Deville's works are sold all over the world, her drawings can be found on calendars, postcards, notebooks, decorative plates, souvenirs. Shirley draws mainly children, pets, rural views.
