Avalon, Avalon (English Avalon, Latin Insula Avallonis, from Irish abal, Welsh afal) is a mythical island in the French and English versions of Celtic legends that have come down to us (Celtic Emine Ablah). The legendary King Arthur was reburied on Avalon; in other versions of the legend: Avalon is the seat of the Morgana Fairy. The fairy Melusine was raised on Avalon.
