An He was born in 1957 in Guangzhou, China. He was educated at the Guangzhou College of Fine Arts, one of the leading academies in China. At the age of 24, An He became the youngest member of the All China Artists Association. In 1985, the artist moved to the United States of America. Specializing in figurative painting, he became one of the most popular artists in this country in the direction of romantic painting of women. An immense admiration and respect for women is evident in all of his works.
