The classic felt hat was invented in the mid-1910s.
Fedora was popular in the West in the first half of the 20th century. In those days, it was almost an integral part of the men's suit in urban industrialized areas.
On the eve of the 80s, courageous women who wore shirts with ties, vests and trouser suits borrowed Fedora into their wardrobe. Since then, fedora has become as common a woman's accessory as a tie or suspenders.
