Our ancestors considered the eldest son of Svarog, Dazhbog, to be the most beloved and kind god.
According to legend, people once lived in the semi-darkness, in houses without windows, like in caves. But one day Svarog decided to see how they exist there. He released his son Sun-Dazhbog from his bosom. Since then, the daylight has been called "God's eye".
People were delighted with the warmth and light, they began to collect the sun's rays in the sieves to carry them home, to illuminate their homes. They did not succeed, of course. And the sun, having passed its way through the sky, Hidden behind the horizon. But in the morning it ascended to the firmament again and left it only for the duration of the night's rest.
