French racing driver, Italian origin, born June 11, 1964 in Avignon.
He began his career in karting, circuit racing in the Renault 5 series, then moved to Formula Renault turbo. In 1986, Alesi made his debut in the French Formula 3 and in the first season took second place in the championship, leaving ahead only the more experienced Yannick Dahlme. The next year Alesi In 1987 won seven races out of fifteen and easily won the champion title. The next year, he moved up a notch to the international F-3000, and also won the title in his second year of participation. In Formula 1, Alei made his debut in France in 1989.

He led the next 5 seasons in the Ferrari team, but did not achieve very high results and was able to win only once, but acquired a sincere love for the tifosi, who loved his energetic driving style. He spent the next two seasons in the middle of the championship - Sauber Petronas, where he was able to score only eleven points in two seasons. The transition to the Prost Peugeot team in 2000 was a disaster. The team finished the championship in last place and failed to score a single point for the entire season.
After completing his career in F1, Jean moved to the DTM series, where he hit the podium in the first race, and won the third. After leaving the DTM, Alesi hoped to lead a new F1 team, created with money from Arab sponsors, but the project failed. In 2011, Jean became a representative of Lotus Cars, as well as a test driver of the unique Lotus T125 car.
Alesi is an excellent winemaker. He has his own vineyard near Avignon. Also his hobbies are tennis, golf and water skiing.
