Born March 27, 1971 in Twinholm. Also known as DC, a Scottish racing driver who competed in the Formula 1 championships from 1994 to 2008. Vice-world champion in 2001, four times took the third place in the individual championship. He played for the Williams, McLaren and Red Bull teams, and achieved the greatest success playing for McLaren in 1996-2004. Although Coulthard never won a World Championship, he is considered one of the most successful drivers in the late 1990s and early 2000s, ranking 12th in Formula 1 history in terms of career points.
He made his debut as the main driver of Formula 1 with Williams Renault on May 29, 1994 at the Spanish Grand Prix
From 1996 to 2004, Coulhard spent at McLaren Mercedes. During this time period his best years as a pilot fall. During the 1998 season, he was second six times and twice third, and only four times went off the track. According to the results of the season, he was in third place with 56 points. In 2000, Coulthard won three races, including the Monaco Grand Prix, and went up to the podium eight more times. As a result, Coulthard finished third.
In the 2002 season, Coulthard was fifth in the championship with 41 points. in 2004, Coulthard never even made it to the podium.

On July 3, 2008, Coulthard announced through the press service of Red Bull that he would leave Formula 1 at the end of the 2008 season, the Brazilian Grand Prix being the last in the Scottish career.
In 2012, David Coulthard set the record for catching a golf ball in a moving car. While driving a car at 193 kilometers per hour, Coulthard caught a ball that flew 275 meters at a speed of 278 kilometers per hour.
