Even in his youth, he thought about why the theme of Vedic Russia is so little manifested in painting. And since the 80s, he began to paint pictures depicting the life of the ancient Slavs.
The paintings of Viktor Korolkov made a huge contribution to the revival of ancient Slavic culture.
He said this about his work:
"I myself am a Slav. I have always been interested in the history of my people, which, unfortunately, was rewritten, or was hushed up, or something was hidden. We did not know a lot and still do not know. And when you don’t know something, naturally, it interesting, attractive. I am a Slav, I live on this land. How can I study any other mythology ?! "
