By the beginning of the eighteenth century, hats had become historically justified: for example, the one who wore hats was considered a supporter of French politicians, while Russian hats spoke of the so-called Russian identity. Towards the end of the century, Paul I, seeing that hat tendencies penetrate the heads of his own charges, banned hats - everything except cocked hats. So, for the time being, the Russian people walked in cocked hats and common hats. At the same time, images of a bolivar and, a little later, a cylinder began to appear in the mind of a person.
The nineteenth century unleashed hat fashion. Its varieties, at the speed of light, climbed to the peaks of fame. During this period, it was women's hats that were especially popular. The end of the century and the beginning of the next century was characterized by a sharp change in huge multi-stage hats (for absolutely every taste) for neat bonnets. During this period, wonderful bowlers are already stepping on the heels of men's cylinders.
