They say that there is nothing worse than waiting. You know this better than anyone else. How painful it is to wait for phone calls, delayed flights, confessions. Because when you wait, nothing depends on you. Waiting is a kind of game, a lottery, in which it is so difficult to be among the winners. But it is on waiting that many around you build their lives. First, they wait for miracles, holidays and gifts, languishing and anticipating the upcoming joy. Then amazing meetings and cherished accomplishments, rhyming names, adding numbers, trusting coincidences. This is followed by a series of expected opportunities and someone's failures. And then they stop waiting altogether. And there is something, Eliza, much worse than expectation. It can't wait. And now it seems to them that they did not wait, that they deserved it and did not receive it. Passing by all that they so passionately desired, they did not notice anything. But what do we care about them and their colorless stories? What color is your story, Eliza? You mixed the rainbow lines into a gray-brown mass, which is exactly the color of expectation. And if you want, I will give you a set of paints - simple, like in childhood, with multi-colored briquettes inside and a thin, uncomplicated brush. With it you will bring out even stripes of a rainbow, with it you can start your story anew. These lines will lead you to me, but for that you have to stop waiting.
