When spirea blooms
At the beginning of a blooming summer
The nights are getting shorter
And the birds don't sleep until dawn.
When spirea blooms
Cicadas can't sleep at night
Their fussy trill pours
Over the meadow and the slumbering garden.
When spirea blooms
Swamp frogs cannot sleep,
And in the hallway of a shady alley
Lovers are walking.
Spirea is to blame for everything
Or maybe so it coincides
I want to fall in love again
As soon as it blooms.
Bottom line: I sing serenades
Summer insomnia.
We all sing along with the nightingales,
When spirea blooms!
