Jewelry of the House of Romanov

In 2013, the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty was celebrated. The event was timed to coincide with the accession of Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov to the Moscow throne on June 11, 1613 (in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin by decision of the Zemsky Cathedral). The accession of Mikhail Fedorovich was the beginning of a new ruling dynasty of the Romanovs.
Over the centuries-old history of ruling Russia, the house of the Romanovs managed to collect an impressive collection of luxurious jewelry, but few of the jewelry have survived in museums to this day, the rest have been melted down or sold for a pittance to the West
