If the usual sakura species bloom only in spring, then Obara Shikisakura blooms twice a year: the first time in the spring with all the cherry trees, and the second time in the fall, from late October to early December. And sometimes you can see the most unexpected combinations of this tender spring flower with maple leaves in combat autumn colors, and even with the first winter snow.
The only place where you can admire the unique cherry blossoms is located in Obara, Aichi Prefecture, near Nagoya.
