Ca d'Oro, or Palazzo Santa Sofia, is a palace in Venice, on the Grand Canal. The second name of the palace is “The Golden House”, since gold leaf was used in the initial decoration. Vermilion and ultramarine were also used for decoration. The palace is considered an example of the Venetian Gothic.
