As in a ghostly white, captivating dream
The moon shines silver in the night sky,
And white-white birches doze,
Shrouded in snow, immersed in dreams
And the unearthly quiet blows over me,
Does this really happen?
And the snow is silvery under the moonbeam -
What will happen, what happened - I don't care.
I don't know, I don't remember, I live for the moment,
And the fairy tale stands before me in reality.
And it seems: take a timid step,
And the horn will scatter marvelous dreams.
The wind will touch them with a rapid run,
And the wonderful castles will fall in snow.
And I hid, hardly breathing -
Oh, winter's tale, how good you are!
