Almond tree fruit

A plant from the subgenus Almond, belongs to the genus Plum. Almonds have stone fruits identical to those of a peach, although in shape they resemble those of a hazelnut.
It blooms in early spring, in some places even in late winter. The fruits ripen in the middle of summer, the plant begins to bear fruit in the fifth year of life and lives for more than a hundred years. It reproduces in various ways, frost-resistant, but during the growing season it is afraid of spring frosts. A bouquet of almonds in early spring pleases the eye with its tenderness and lightness.
