Lychee

Lychee is a tropical fruit tree. There are also other names - liji, lisi, laysi, Chinese plum.
The fruit is oval in shape, with a juicy and sweet heart surrounded by a dark red rind. The lychee shell outwardly resembles a fabulous dragon skin due to small tubercles. Outwardly, it may seem that the rind is very thick and dense, but it easily peels off, revealing the delicate pulp of the fruit. What does lychee taste like? It tastes like grapes. Very sweet, juicy, jelly-like pulp.
The fruit grows on trees that can be up to 30 meters high. These fruit trees outwardly resemble the willow we are used to because of the spreading crown. The berries ripen in clusters and are harvested from the beginning of May. Trees grow in China, Thailand, Vietnam and some other countries. The fruit ripening season is July – August.
