Solyanka (originally Selyanka - a dish of Russian cuisine, soup with steep meat, fish or mushroom broth with hot spices.
Solyanka are of three types: meat, fish and mushroom. The base of the hodgepodge is sour-salty-spicy due to the addition of such components as pickles, olives, capers, lemon, kvass, pickled or pickled mushrooms. Solyanka combines components of both cabbage soup (cabbage, sour cream) and pickle (pickles, cucumber pickle). Fried boiled meat of various types, corned beef, smoked meat and sausages are used in meat hodgepodge. In fish hodgepodge - boiled, salted, smoked red fish (sturgeon). All hodgepodge contains a lot of spices: pepper, parsley and dill.
