The garden in Leonardslee Gardens England, Horsham, West Sussex was founded in 1889 by the famous plant collector Sir Edmund Lowder on a vast area of about 80 hectares. The area was ideal for growing exotic plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and hydrangeas. The picturesque slopes in the river valley are occupied by ornamental plantings in a landscape style.
