Tabebuya are trees ranging in height from 5 to 50 m (the height of the tree depends on the species). Tabebuya grows very quickly. During the dry season, many species shed their leaves, some do not, which is why the tree is called semi-evergreen. Blooms in February (southern hemisphere), at a time when almost nothing blooms. As an ornamental tree, tabebuia is widely used in landscape design - both by private owners as a decoration for their yards and patios, and by municipalities in parks and on the streets.
Golden Tabebuia is common on the mountain slopes of Venezuela and Paraguay. Funnel-shaped flowers form dense yellow inflorescences. National symbol of Paraguay.
