Nefertiti ... the queen of Egypt, wife of Pharaoh Amenhotep IV (Akhenaten) ... the most beautiful of women ...
The features of a young face are perfect, they are beautiful not only for their correctness, but also for their inner beauty and tranquility.
The second bust - the same facial features, but the appearance of a ruler, confident and even slightly arrogant.
And between them a whole life, very difficult, full of joy and despair, love and hate ...
We know a lot about her and ... we know nothing!
In Egyptian history, all information about her husband - the heretic pharaoh, the reformer pharaoh Akhenaten - and about her herself were diligently destroyed, their burial places were not found, the available information was obtained only indirectly. If it were not for the amazing creations of the ancient sculptor Thutmes (whose name is also conditional) and his associates in the workshop, the world would hardly have known about such a queen. But, fortunately, we have many images of this family.
And yet we know insanely little about her life.
The parents are unknown, but at the same time she is suspiciously similar to the reigning queen Tiye, the mother of her future husband Amenhotep IV, who later took the name Akhenaten.
It is not known where Nefertiti lived in recent years, although she raised the future Pharaoh Tutankhamun. At the same time, from the moment of the “disappearance” of his beautiful wife, Pharaoh Akhenaten suddenly appeared co-ruler Smenkhkar (or Semnekhkare), surprisingly similar to a woman with a false beard ...
Neither the date nor the circumstances of the death of Akhenaten and Nefertiti herself are known, the place of their burial is unknown ... History diligently keeps its secrets.
From time to time, there are sensational statements about the "find" of Nefertiti's mummy. But one glance at the computer picture of the restored face is enough to understand that if this is Nefertiti, then it is not at all the one that the sculptor Thutmes saw!
Did Nefertiti really rule for her sick husband under the name of Pharaoh Smenkhkar (Semnekhkare)?
In the novel, one of the versions of the life of the beautiful queen, which has the right to exist. There is too little reliable information about her to confidently assert how it really was. One can only guess ...
