Kalyazin city
The bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral (flooded bell tower) is a monument of history and architecture on the artificial island of the Uglich reservoir in the city of Kalyazin.
It is known that in the 30s of the XX century, during the construction of the Uglich reservoir, the city of Kalyazin was flooded, and the Nicholas Cathedral was blown up. Only a lonely bell tower remained from it - a symbol of the holiness of this city.
